The Castle Lake Ranch Volunteer Fire Department protects our rural community with fast, reliable emergency response. Our volunteers provide wildland and structure fire suppression, medical first response, and radio communication support during outages, ensuring help is always close - even in hard-to-reach areas.
We are a 100% volunteer-run, donation-funded, department, committed to keeping our neighbors safe. Through ongoing training, modern equipment, and strong teamwork, we respond to emergencies with professionalism and care.
CLRVFD also strengthens community life through events, safety education, and a culture of neighbors helping neighbors. Our presence reduces property loss and supports emergency readiness.

The Core

Founded in July 1975 as a Texas Domestic Nonprofit Corporation created to serve the Castle Lake Ranch community and surrounding rural areas of Bandera County.

Castle Lake Ranch VFD operates entirely with volunteers - no paid staff. Members are local residents who donate their time and skills to protect their neighbors.

The department relies solely on donations and grants for funding, maintaining its equipment and vehicles through community support.
Mission

Castle Lake Ranch VFD's mission is to provide rapid response to wildland and structural fires, and some volunteers are also First Responders trained for emergency medical calls.
